Adam Yeldham
Born in 1950 in Stanmore Middlesex, Adam worked in various London Art Studios whilst attending The London College of Printing’s Graphic Design Course. In the early 1970’s he worked at EMI, designing album covers and promotional material. He then moved into publishing, joining Methuen Books where his cover designs won the praise of leading international experts and were featured in the ‘Graphics’ and ‘Modern Publicity’ annuals. During this period he also produced designs for the complete plays of Shakespeare, as part of a group of artists known as ‘The Ruralists’, which included Sir Peter Blake and David Inshaw in their number. He then started his own Design Agency which produced book and album covers for top artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Captain Beefheart and Little Richard, among many others. After a rewarding commercial career he was able to pursue his love of painting and he now enjoys considerable success as a professional artist. His music industry experience is evident in his distinctive & beautifully detailed figurative landscapes of retro America and recording artists from the period.
